QuickFit TTFM probes

The QuickFit series of Medistim’s transit-time probes are available in sizes 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 3.0mm, 4.0mm, and 5.0 mm – all available with or without handle and differentiated by color-coding.

The ergonomic handle and the malleable neck allow for easy access, facilitating quick application of the probe onto the graft. The soft silicone-ears will keep the probe in position and the flat front face ensures optimal acoustical contact – avoiding air being entrapped between the vessel wall and the probe. This superior acoustical contact is validated on the screen through an indicator. The smooth and seamless probe surface is easy to clean and sterilize.

Peri Vascular

The PeriVascularprobes are available with or without handle, sizes 6 – 27 mm. Optimal acoustical contact with the vessel wall is ensured through the unique Flat Front Face Probe Design. This facilitates validated measurements through an indicator on the screen – ensuring fast, stable and reproducible results. Our PeriVascular probe series use a removable slide to secure the vessel within the probe. The slide is removable to ease the cleaning and sterilization process.
On the small probe sizes the slide is fixed to the cable or neck (Fixed slide), while the probes larger then 7mm have a slide that can be removed from the probe head (Large slide).

Vascular TTFM Probes Steam Autoclavable

Medistim’s flow probes are based on reliable Transit Time Flow Measurement (TTFM) technology. Together with the VeriQ™ and VeriQC™systems, they provide fast, accurate and reproducible measurements of blood volume flow intraoperatively. The surgeon is able to measure all vessels 5–18 mm in size. Probes are available with and without handles in order to accommodate a variety of surgical procedures. Designed to meet worldwide sterilization standards, Medistim’s vascular probes are steam autoclavable and are guaranteed for 50 sterilization cycles.

The probes are factory calibrated and require no further calibration during use.

Doppler probe

The X-Plore probe is used on the surface of the heart/vessel to search for doppler probeintramural coronary arteries or to locate the position and quantify the degree of a stenosis.

The doppler X-plore probe transmits an ultrasound wave burst of a known frequency and length. Moving objects will reflect some of the ultrasound energy back to the probe. Objects moving towards the probe will compress the wavelength and objects moving away from the probe will increase the wavelength.

The change in frequency can be detected by comparing the received signals with the transmitted signal. The changed frequency (Doppler shift) represents the velocity and direction of the reflecting object. VeriQ applies a pulsed Doppler, allowing the user to control the depth at which the velocities should be measured, and the sample volume, where the length is also adjustable.
